Bienvenido a Madrid!
1 gece 2 günlük Madrid seyahati, haftasonunu da işin işine katınca tadından yenmez bir tatile dönüştü. Uzun zamandır görmediğim Stilize‘mle de Radisson Blu Hotel Madrid Prado‘da buluşup, şehrin kalbine yerleştikten sonra planlar yapılmaya başlandı.
Our 2 days and 1 night Madrid trip turned into a wonderful long weekend. I havent seen my lovely friend Stilize for a long time. and we decided to meet in Madrid. After settling in the heart of the city at our amazing Radisson Blu Hotel Madrid Prado, the plans began to be made.
Bilmediğim bir şehre giderken, öncelikle hep size soruyorum. Sonra bloglarda araştırıyorum. Ve mutlaka şehre ya ülkeye dair bir Lonely Planet ediniyorum. Şehre gelen her geçici misafir gibi, tabii ben de en iyi tapas’çı da yemek, en sevimli sokaklarında gezmek, en güzel meydanlarında bir cafe’ye oturup gelen geçeni seyretmek ve en iyi müzelerini görmek istiyorum. Tabii en iyileri yapmak, iyi bir plan ve zaman yönetimi gerektiriyor. Benim alternatif B planım her zaman hazırdır, ama A planı için şehirde yaşayanlara kulak vermek ve tüm planlardan bağımsız sadece dolaşmak ve keşfetmek isterim.
Otelimiz Radisson Blu, en iyilere yürüme en fazla 5 ila 15 dakika uzaklıkta olunca, tüm planlar işlediği gibi spontan keşiflerle de iyice renklendi. Madrid’in meşhur müzesi Prado‘nun karşı caddesinde, tapasçılarıyla meşhur Huertas caddesinin hemen karşı sokağında, sürpriz karşımıza çıkan bir sürü sevimli dükkanın hemen yanı başında kaldık.
İşte, 1900lerin başından kalma, Madrid’in 3 meşhur müzesinin oluşturduğu Sanat Üçgeni‘nde yer alan, bir zamanlar Cervantes, Gongora, Quevedo gibi yazarların da yaşadığı The Barrio de las Letras bölgesinde yer alan otelimiz.
When I plan visiting somewhere for the first time, first I ask of your opinions as always. Then, I search for the related blogs and get a Lonely Planet immidiately.
Like rest of all the temporary guests, of course, I would like to eat at the most famous tapas restaurant, walk on the citys most charming streets, not to miss the most famous museums, have a seat at the most popular cafe around the most beautiful squares and watch people around. Of course, to live the city in the best way requires a good plan and a good time management. If not My plan B is always ready, although i prefer plan A, the best is asking inhabitants, then just walk around and explore.
We were lucky. Our hotel The Radisson Blu was only 5 to 15 minutes away from everywhere. So, plan A and B worked together perfectly 😉
The Radisson Hotel Madrid Prado, dating back to the early 20th century, had a unbeatable location in the ‘Art Triangle’. The Prado Museum which hosts the works of Velazquez, Goya, Rembrant was just in front of the hotel. The ‘Barrio de las Letras’ – where Cervantes, Quevodo, Gongora lived, was just in 2 minutes walking distance. It’s currently best known as the neighborhood for tapas and its antique furniture shops.

Yurtdışında en sevdiğim şey, kahvaltı sonrası kahvemle ‘croissant’ yemek. Tabii bu bazen gün içinde bir kaç kez tekrarlanabiliyor 😉 Bu tutkuma Madrid’de bir de ‘churros’ eklendi. Önce üstüne şeker döküp, sonra çikolataya banıyorsunuz. Sonra, dönüşte kesin Pazartesi rejime başlıyorum diye kendinizi kandırmaya koyuluyorsunuz. 😉 After the breakfast at the hotel, my #coffeeoftheday has been enchanted by yummy croissants&muffins 😉 This is what i love most on holidays abroad. In Madrid, unfortunately i met with ‘churros’. First, you put some sugar on it and then you dip into the hot chocolate. And Yes, it makes thousands of calories. Don’t forget to promise yourself to get on a harsh diet on monday when you get back home. 😉
Otelin içinde hiç ummadığım minik ama sevimli bir galeri ile karşılaştım. Eskiden asansör olan bir alanı galeriye dönüştürmüşler, misafir sanatçıları ağırlıyorlar. 🙂 The Old& the new were combined together at our hotel. The old lift has been renovated and became a gallery. I love the idea! 😉
Hadi artık otelden çıkıp, şehir turu yapma zamanı! Now it’s time to get out and discover the city! 😉
How could I forget to tell another charm of our hotel? As all the best hotels which should be preferred, are the ones which has speedy internet access 😛 like our dear hotel had 🙂
